Jehlum Post News|Srinagar| Jan 21, 2015| In the memory of Gowkadal Massacre Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Wednesday

organized special prayers in Srinagar and took out a rally in Gowkadal area and on the occasion many speakers remembered the martyrs of Gowkadal and pays rich tributes to them. While reiterating his appeal for impartial investigation into all the massacres of Kashmir including the Gowkadal massacre, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani said that an FIR should immediately be registered against the CRPF officers and its personals and the then governor Mr. Jugmohan who were involved in the bloodshed of innocent people of Gowkadal and the culprits should be given stern punishment. In a Tuesday’s press statement, hurriyat said that on the completion of 25 years of the Gowkadal massacre, activists and workers of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat led by Bashir Ahmad Qurashi and Mehraj-ud-din Rabani today assembled at the place of Massacre and raised pro-freedom slogans and demanded death penalty for the accused personals. A special prayer meeting was held in Srinagar in this regard in which the participants prayed for the peace to the departed souls and it was said that the sacrifices given by the martyrs will never be neglected and their mission will be taken to the logical end.

    The controversy around Nestle's Maggi noodles has caused panic throughout the nation and it doesn't look like it will die down any time soon.

    After the initial test results by Uttar Pradesh Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed harmful levels of monosodium glutamate (MSG) and lead in Maggi, various states across India and even Bangladesh conducted tests on Maggi to find out whether the food product is safe or not.

    The controversy around Maggi has led to tests being conducted across the country.

    The entire controversy began when the UP FDA last month asked Nestle India to withdraw a batch of Maggi noodles "which were manufactured in February 2014" after it found high levels of added MSG, a taste enhancer, in the noodles and lead beyond permissible limits.
