Jehlum Post News|Kupwara|April 29, 2015/The Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Abdul Haq Khan Wednesday visited several areas in Kupwara district Headquarter and inspected pace of developmental

activities carried out by different constructing agencies. He also visited Sub District Hospital, Kupwara and inquired about the facilities available in the hospital for the patients and their attendants. He was informed that all the basic facilities are available in the hospital in respect of health care, He went round the different wards, operation theatre, emergency, accident and causality wards to review the facilities.  The BMO briefed the Minister regarding the repairs of operation theatre and other related matters. The Minister impressed upon the Doctors and Para Medicos to adopt the dress code while performing their duties. The Minister was accompanied by the District Development commissioner, Kupwara, Member Raja Sabah Mir Fayez Ahmad, MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmad Dar, engineers and officers of various departments. While inspecting the additional block of SDH, Kupwara it was given out that hospital building is under execution at an estimated cost of 24.80 crores and 7 crores stand expended. The Minister asked the DDC Kupwara to monitor the on-going developmental projects in the district and ensure its completion with the stipulated time frame under the guide lines of the government, so that people of these areas would be able to avail the benefits of these projects.

    The controversy around Nestle's Maggi noodles has caused panic throughout the nation and it doesn't look like it will die down any time soon.

    After the initial test results by Uttar Pradesh Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed harmful levels of monosodium glutamate (MSG) and lead in Maggi, various states across India and even Bangladesh conducted tests on Maggi to find out whether the food product is safe or not.

    The controversy around Maggi has led to tests being conducted across the country.

    The entire controversy began when the UP FDA last month asked Nestle India to withdraw a batch of Maggi noodles "which were manufactured in February 2014" after it found high levels of added MSG, a taste enhancer, in the noodles and lead beyond permissible limits.
