AIS Officers from unwarranted suspension, the Central Government is in the process of amending the All India Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1969 in order to provide adequate safeguards against arbitrary use of executive power in cadre management of All India Service officers and especially against the misuse of delegated authority under the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969 in suspending AIS officers. This was stated by the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question by Dr. K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao in the Rajya Sabha Thursday. PIB
